New family house and volunteer stay finished

Nilantha and his family moved into the new house, which was finished in March. This also means that we can host volunteers from now on. If you feel like working on THE GARDEN ESTATE, please get in touch! There is plenty to do. We promise!

Apart from this lucky happening, we are busy with preparing our crowdfunding campaign to bring more milk cows to THE GARDEN ESTATE and build a proper barn for them.

Building a house...

The small construction project of the family house is moving forward with big steps! Nilantha and his family shall be able to move in this month. What is still missing is the bathroom, the connection to the sewage as well as some plastering.

A little calf is born

Rathie gave birth (all on her own) to a beautiful little calf - Wasana. We are currently preparing a crowdfunding campaign  to bring in more friends for the two and built a proper barn.

Happy New Year!

Happy new year to everyone! Suresh, Anne, Ella and Tom are back to Germany after a few months in Sri Lanka, but the work at THE GARDEN ESTATE keeps progressing: Undu is planted, banana and coconut plants are maintained, hoping for some harvest in April.

It's raining a lot in Sri Lanka at the moment, so the lake is super-full now, so there should be enough water for the plants during the dry season.

Rathie is pregnant

The one and only cow on THE GARDEN ESTATE, Rathie, is pregnant.
We are expecting the little calf in January and are pretty exited about this news.

The little animal family is growing and growing, joining our dogs, chickens and lovely wild birds.
